I've managed to keep the boat in commission since I bought her 11 years ago with almost no professional help.  However, I can't claim expertise in any area.  My work to date has been solely upkeep no modifications.  The winters are pretty severe in New Jersey, so it is hard to get any work done.    When the weather gets warm I'd rather be sailing.  I hold a USCG 100 GT near costal license.  I do a lot of costal sailing between Sandy Hook NJ, Long Island NY, and southern New England.  I've made one round trip to Bermuda, but not on my boat.
