During a recent business trip in the area
of Morehead City NC, Pam flew up to join me for the last week.
Just before driving back to Florida, we caught a ferry and went to Shackleford Banks (Island)
to see the wild Mustangs and walk the beach. While we were there Pam's
camera fell out through a hole in her bag without her knowing it. We
realized it after returning to the dock and decided not to catch the ferry
back over. She figured we would never see it again because it must
have fallen out somewhere in the central part of the island and we didn't
have any idea were to start looking for it if we went back. It was a
good camera for her and she liked it.
Two weeks later on a Sunday evening we received a long
distance call from Mary Ellen, verifying our name and asking if we lost a
camera on Shackleford Banks? Wow! She had found it and offered
to mail it to us. Pam was delighted. What a gift of honesty and
effort in finding us. She said she found us through Nikon's
registration of the camera. Quite a task to get the correct
information she said.
Thank you Mary Ellen. Your kind thoughtfulness
and generosity far out weigh any value we placed in that camera. You
are a special person.

(Would you believe she even emailed us some of her
photographs of the Mustangs because she thought we didn't have a camera to take
any pictures.)

one of her hikes in the Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.)
