I am the third owner of James Michael. The following is a list of updates which I consider is consistent with the fine tradition and history of the Bill Shaw designed Pearson 35.

Spring 2002 New Raymarine ST60 Tridata Depth, Knot meter

Spring 2003 All new cushions and covers by S&S Fabric, Portsmouth, R.I.,V berth has added memory foam (like tempurpedic)

Spring 2005 New Beta 28 HP diesel: current hours less than 50 hours New shaft New prop New LasDrop dripless packing New Cutless bearing All new fuel system up to original Monel tank

Summer 2006

New Garhauer Radar mast (no radar unit), with outboard motor hoist

Additional equipment includes;

• Clock and barometer • Cockpit cushions • VHF radio with RAM mike • Teak dining table in cockpit. • Kerosene lamp in cabin • AM/FM/CD Pioneer stereo and speakers in salon • 22 lb Delta anchor with chain and anchor rode

I have to give the previous owner credit for the bulk of the upgrades.
The abbreviated story about selling is....I've worked in Alaska as a commercial diver for about 6 months a year for the past 17 years. The plan was to take a year or more off and go back to cruising full time.

So the new plan is to retire in 5 years and then go cruising again. As much as I enjoy the Pearson I know it will get no use for 5 years. I'm fortunate that a family member has allowed me to store the boat on there property, so I'm feeling no pressure to sell short due to mounting storage fees.
Unfortunately those are the only photos I have. I'm in Alaska now so that is what I have to work with.
