Cabin Top Winch Re-Chroming

After 30 years it was showing signs of age.  I was repainting the deck and hull so I though it was time to have it re-chromed.  Total cost was $60.  I cleaned it up, re-lubed the gears and reassembled.

 

One Note here:  When the winch was re-chromed the process reduced the size of the "pawl and pawl spring" slots in the top.  I had to re-drill that area.

The final product came out very nice
