After reading of other centerboard problems I decided to replace mine.  As you can see from the photo fishhooks abounded.  Cable size was 5/16.  Time involved 2 hours.  Old and new cables, installed with messenger line attached winch.  Disassembled and cleaned everything.              - Roscoe
