I changed the Sunbrella color of the boat and decided to have new Navy sewn on the Genoa as a sun cover. I have some years left in the sail and didn't want to replace it right yet. I did some repairs to the 150% Genoa as well as removed the old Sunbrella before I took it to the shop to have the new Navy sawn on. I'm pleased with the outcome. |

When I was inspecting the sail I discovered a tear at the seam of the old sun cover. |
I removed all the old and worn out pacific blue Sunbrella. This lowered the cost of sewing the new Navy Sunbrella on. |
I cut out around the foot, clue and the head attachments. The shop would eventually rebuild each end |
The previous owner / sail shop had sewed the sun cover into a patch of the sail |
The head was showing signs of ware but, was still solid |
A nick in the sail slot that needs to be repaired |
After I got all of the old Sunbrella off I gave the sail a good washing on both sides |

Sail extended out on the drive way. Some put the sail in the pool. |
I trimmed up the tear for taping and repair |
Sail tape on both sides, full length of the tear |
Back side repair |
The sail shop did nice job of rebuilding the ends of the sail |
New Navy Sunbrella covered each new attachment loops nicely |
The head, clue and foot all were nicely done |
