Boom Layout |
Eyes placed under the boom at: 25% 4'-0" 60% 9'-0" 85% 13'-6" |
I wanted the main sail to drop on top of the boom and cradle completely with falling out. The eyes below the boom seemed to fall in the logical locations of 25%, 60% and 85% of the boom as measured from the rear of the mast. |

I hand tied it all together and adjusted the line lengths. I later finished off the line ends. |
As I was working the Lazy Jack lines I checked out the possible interference with the Main Sail Reefing Lines. |
So after about a dozen times of raising and dropping the main sail, I got all the lengths right. |
When I retract the lines I hook them around the reefing hooks and secure the ends on the two nylon cleats. |
